bernadette
Although I had been paleo and consuming coconut (oil, milk, flakes) for over a year before my whole 30, I have been getting headaches when consuming it since. Has this happened to anyone else? My son also says his stomach hurts when he has coconut. How could I determine whether we developed a coconut intolerance, or whether there is a candida/herxheimer reaction? I have no other symptoms of candida...but a history of antibiotics. I thought of trying a candida diet, but there's no way I can get my 5 yr old to do it. Anyone else have this issue? If so, how long did it last and how did you get past it? Coconut is such an important ingredient... Thank you!
Grandmamadukes
I wonder if you cut out coconut for a few weeks and see if you react when eating it again. I sometimes feel a tingle in my throat <like I used to get with dairy> when I have coconut milk. I like the coconut so much I am hoping it is not a reaction. Good Luck.
