@Treesh there already is a Facebook page for the Whole 30. There are no Moderators though on Facebook to help keep us straight on anything that might not be per the program.

I am going to start tomorrow. I have a large test today and not completely done with the prep. Here is my ghee. The first time I made it it too me 3 times and 8 sticks of butter. Tip don’t think you can leave it to do something else. It goes south quickly and burns. Once you make it a few times then try and do other things while making it but stay in the kitchen and close to the stove. Lol.

@Roonster welcome. I so understand what happened and starting over in nothing new to me. It is fantastic that you are and not letting that slip last longer which I have done in the past. Very well done.

    4/2/2018 Starting Whole30

This sounds like an awesome group. I will be starting another whole 30. I completed my successful one into 2013. Since then I have tried to do other ones but have fallen off. I am now in a critical stage of inflammation and all of my old injuries in my shoulders elbows and wrists activate it. I am in pain, I have some eczema, & sleep issues just to name a few so I’ve just got to do it. I will be 51 in May. I can definitely lose some weight as well but I am not concerned about that at this point. I have a lot of allergies because of my leaky gut. I have to stay away from garlic, onions, all peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes. I do have I be careful with citrus because it can cause issues with canker sores. I am not sure if I will eliminate all of them but severely limit them. I do like using the zest. I do have an incredible time constraint. I’m in school 35 hours a week as well as working 30 to 35 hours a week. So this is going to be interesting. My problem is I prep all the food and then don’t eat it. I am a bona fide fast food junkie. I love going to breakfast and reading. That is my current vice. I have some things already made from previous weeks like beef cabbage stew. I have some meat cooked and frozen. I am prepping Brussels sprouts with sweet potatoes, asparagus, cole slaw, sweet potato salad, sautéed Swiss chard with mint & pistachios, and some salads, I will also make an egg thing but not sure. I am so busy I have to make all my food Mon-Thur. Then Thur do a prep for Fri-Sun. But I am hoping to do breakfasts fresh as much as I can. My NSV goals are to 1. Get a better handle on the sugar dragon 2. Do all food prepping on Sun & small one on Thur 3. Keep clean after cooking 4. Not going out to fast food 5. Doing my PT every day, and when ever possible walking & stretching into my week.

HI I am starting on Mon too. As I look I see we have about 9 groups started for Oct 1st or 2nd. I say we pull together and form 1 group. We can create a new feed with a new name or jump on one that already has a number of people on it. What would you recommend @Brensuma?

Death of the Dragon - 30 days of carnage (July 25)

Yep not enough grabbed for breakfast. Hungry again. Going to 3 meals a day is going to be a challenge for me. I am used to doing 4-5 smaller meals because of the hypoglycemia but I am going to try this time around. And now my employer just started baking my favorite cookies for her trip. Please give me strength!!

Death of the Dragon - 30 days of carnage (July 25)

This is day 1 for me. I was called into work early yesterday morning and didn't have time to do any additional prep and had to just grab food on the go. It's a miracle I made it out of the house and to work without stopping by for fast food. And it was a very big crunch this morning. I actually have to bring my breakfast to work because I didn't have time to eat it. But yay I didn't succumb to my negotiator today and swing by and get something to eat. So this is example how my morning ran today, I went to go get gas and there was no gas attendant. And no way to pay at the pump either. II still haven't really had the time to to do a complete prep but I at least have enough made so that I could grab some stuff and go. Although I did make my eggs this morning. Tomorrow hopefully I can do more prep which would be great. Let me tell you a little more about myself. I am a personal assistant in Los Angeles. I have weak adrenals but they are doing better. I have a lot of allergies to things, which I know this will improve. I have been battling my sugar dragon for a very long time. And it has been a long road to recovery for my adrenals. I really went off track with the death of my parents in the last few years. Things just went out of control and I am working to put discipline back into my life with food and have a much better relationship with it instead of just feeding the monster. I found the whole 30 in 2013 when I was diagnosed with Leakey Gut and that was my only completed program. I have had many false starts and stops over the years. I am so glad that I found this group this time and look forward to this journey with all of your. I am not going to do RX or the other compliant bars this time. I have ordered the daily email because it really helps me stay on track. Breakfast today 2 scrambled eggs with 2 compliant turkey bacon, sautéed kale, cucumbers with some avocado Meatloaf with mixed green salad and sautéed Swiss chard Tuna salad with raw mixed veggies: zucchini, yellow squash, celery, and green beans and a mint cucumber coconut dipping sauce Emergency food in case I didn't grab enough food for my meals is 2 hard boiled eggs and some pistachio nuts.

I am going to be joining you ladies on this adventure as well. @SugarcubeOD helped me a lot on the last one. I had to do a very low carb but then crazy life happened and started cheating again. I am still a slave to the sugar dragon and I just need to get back off it again. I think I will start with no limits on the correct foods and then do a wean off to getting off starchy veggies would be the most successful action at this point. That is what my Doctor is currently wanting me to eat. I am not sure if I am going to add the fruit back in because I haven’t added that yet. I will stay off pork since I am already off it. I need to not do onions, garlic, and most of the peppers. The recipes look amazing and I can’t wait to try some of them. My NSV Goals are: 1. Get a better handle on the sugar dragon 2. Hopefully get rid of my itching (I have gone off of my allergy medicine and since then I am very itch. I am unclear if it is a side effect of going off the cetirizine because I didn’t really deal with body itching only in the eyes.) 3. Less indigestion and gas 4. Less or get rid of my hot flashes. When I eat better I don’t get as many.

I have been in the back round the last few days. Been too busy to post or respond to post but I have been reading and liking. I am doing well. Still fighting the cravings for fast food but they aren't as bad at times. I had a friend last night bring in my favorite French fries and say look at what I got us to share. She didn't know Inwas doing the whole 30 program. I declined and ate my meatloaf with green beans & spinach. I feel that was a good NSV. I have been put @Aurora Blue that is so amazing about your back. I am hoping it will help me as well. My body has not been able to hold the chiropractic adjustment for very long. I have chronic upper back & neck issues, numbness in my hands and pain down my arms Mainly while I am trying to sleep @WholeChristina so glad about the psoriasis. I am hoping my eczema will go away soon. Also good luck for dinner tonight. Less it's already happened. My recommendation is make yourself some ranch dip or baba ghanouj to use for your veggies one of my favorite things to make is tuna avocado dip. One can of tuna, one avocado mash it all together and season it with whatever seasonings you want. You can put it on celery or hollow out a cucumber piece. Cut about a half to an inch tall and you pull out all the seeds and then you stuff the tuna avo inside. If you make the dishes for yourself look pretty it'll feel special. Also if you have time if you put some fruit and water and let it soak for a couple hours or overnight you have a nice flavor drink. You can also make fruit filled ice cubes as well which will also make something special for you. I finally got around to making my pesto today. I started my baba ghanouj I cooked the egg plant on the stove top with the gas to get it smoky and then put it in the oven till it was cooked . So tomorrow I'll peel it tomorrow and make the dish. Still need to make the mayo & give a pass a ketchup.

@SugarcubeOD Thanks so much. The irony is I can't do tomatoes cooked or most peppers lol and i hate sundried tomatoes and not a huge fan of mustard. LOL Oh the injustice of my taste buds and the allergies. I will definitely look at www.meljoulwan.com. She has great recipes. Ya right now I am just in a pickle with all the allergies and things I am supposed to stay away from with the Whole30 & candida diet. I can't do the whole 30 sweeteners but I can do stevia but not on the whole 30. I have a great tomato alternative I can do but it has lecithin in it. I can do my protein shakes on candida but not on the whole 30. It is just ironic for me. I am hoping to get more time so i can do make my own sauces. I am just going to have to buckle up and toughen up and just do it. I am hoping to have more time this coming week because I have implemented a new schedule. Thank you so much for all your help you have been great and I appreciate you responding.

@SugarcubeOD Thanks I have been doing fat but I usually do it in olives, ghee, nuts , and I take an oil supplement as well for extra fat. I think I have forgotten to post the fat with the meal. The supplement has reduced my eczema and I have been taking it for years now. I know I need to cut down on the nuts though. I can't have avocados and have been trying to figure out where to get other fats besides olive, nuts, and just taking oil. Most of the condiments have garlic, onions and vinegar in them so I shouldn't be doing them. I can get away with small amount but not a lot. I can only have apple cider vinegar in small amount and unfortunately I have issue with citrus. You are right I don't think I ate enough for today. I am having to force food down me at this point because of boredom. My Dr is having me do a big candida hit for 10 days with the now fruit and starchy veggies. On Sun I will be able to add more foods like mild starchy veggies and fruit. The big issue for me has been time and since I have to make everything from scratch, including most condiments it has been hard. I am hoping to make baba ghanoj and pesto this week. This is the first whole 30 that I have done under such time and food constraint. I do feel like a sad friend but I will get through it. Any recommendations on other fats please let me know

Ok it is tantrum time for me. I want to scream, cry, throw a fit. My house is a complete mess and I don't have time to clean. My desk looks like it vomited on it's self. I stupidly paid bill late because I have been so busy and overwhelmed that I forgot. I am so sick of chicken, turkey, and my veggies I could scream!!! I know this will pass but I just needed to express it. Mantra begin.....this too will pass....this too will pass...french fries.....no...this too will pass.
