1Maryann
Occasionally, people post questions concerning salt intake. Just as with fats, we have been brainwashed into thinking salt isn't good for us. Here's the latest findings from the CDC. Apparently, too little salt can be even more dangerous than high consumption of salt. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/07/11/cdc-oops-salt-is-not-actually-dangerous-and-cutting-it-may-be-harmful/
rozamu
Thanks! I always worry about sodium levels so this is a great read.
Jinkse21
When I do W30, I don't worry about how much salt I add when cooking since we are not eating processed foods which are extrememly high in sodium. The whole, natural foods we are eating have very little natural sodium in them, if any, and I know it's important for the body to have sodium for the reasons listed in the link. Vian
Also, the research that showed that salt was bad for you used only plain table salt. Natural mineral salt has actually been found to improve the conduction of electrical impulses in the body and improve heart function, as well as provide vital trace minerals and electrolytes. wrightandres1
Over consumption of salt causes excessive thirst in the body because it pulls water from the bloodstream which possibly leads to constipation.
justmary
I just went into a store in Portland, OR that had more than 120 different natural sea salts. It was pretty amazing. I did pick up a few, and it has been fun to try them out.
