SnazzyGina
I'm on day 5 of my second Whole30 and I'm feeling great. I did go to the doctor yesterday, thinking I had a bladder infection, but it wasn't. It was bacterial vaginosis (VB). I'm now on oral antibiotics and I usually drink/eat acidophilus products when I'm on antibiotics to prevent yeast infections but since I'm doing Whole30 I need to avoid dairy. Can anyone recommend a good substitute for me to take in order to replenish my good bacteria? I definitely want to keep doing my Whole30 but at the same time I do NOT want to deal with a yeast infection. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Link to comment
Guest
Kombucha, raw sauerkraut, raw kimchi and probiotic pills are all viable choices. Link to comment

SnazzyGina
Thank you. I'll go pick up some kombucha and probiotic capsules today. Is there a certain brand you like to use or are they basically all the same? Link to comment
amberino21
I'd suggest the kombucha and sauerkraut too, yum! With capsules, I think you'd need to check they don't have sugar, gluten, soy, lactose, etcetera to keep them compliant....maybe do a search? Some recommended brands might come up Link to comment

Mom2A&M
Garden of life brand....they make a "women's" blend....in the cooler section of health food store and they have to stay cold since they are live bacteria. Link to comment

SnazzyGina
I got the Bluebonnet Milk-Free Probiotic Acidophilus Plus FOS capsules. They are live cultures and need to be in the fridge. Live active bacteria. They're free of gluten, corn, soy, dairy, peanuts, wheat and soybeans. The ingredients are Whole30 legit. Link to comment

Karen
The one I bought says its vegan.... To be clear, the one I'm referring to is this one: http://www.vitacost.com/garden-of-life-raw-probiotics-women-90-vegetarian-capsules-1 It's vegetarian, but has dairy (yogurt). I blew up like a balloon on this one due to the dairy and my body's extreme dislike of it. Link to comment
SnazzyGina
I'm happy to say that I'm feeling much better and the probiotic and kombucha are working great to keep my tummy feeling normal. Thanks for all the suggestions! Link to comment
