LindaLee
My sister-in-law made a Whole30 compliant cole slaw for the 4th of July with the usual ingredients, plus a sauce she made with ground up cashews, that was to die for (and I usually HATE cole slaw). She just whipped it together but I'm too inexperienced to do that. Can anyone share a cole slaw recipe that sounds kinda similar to this? Thanks in advance! Derval
Never heard of that, interesting...you could try adapt this? http://vegweb.com/recipes/creamy-cashew-coleslaw or just make regular coleslaw with Well Fed's mayoand add some toasted cashew nuts? Melissa Urban
I like an Asian-style cole slaw with a hefty dose of vinegar. Try something like this: bag of shredded coleslaw vegetables 1/2 cup rice vinegar 1 tbsp. mayonnaise 1 tbsp. EVOO 1 tbsp. coconut aminos 1 tbsp. chinese five spice (or dash each of ginger, curry, clove, cinnamon, star anise) 1 tbsp. red pepper flakes 1/2 cup cashew halves and pieces Mix all ingredients except cole slaw and cashews. Stir well with wire whisk. Add sauce and cashews to cole slaw and toss, chill and serve.
