Laketon79
I know if things have wheat in them there is gluten, but I've heard that it can be hidden in a lot of things. What do I look for?
GFChris
Gluten is the protein found in wheat, barley, malt and rye. So any of those ingredients you want to avoid. Food products that are suspect (besides baked goods) are sauces, soups, broths, marinades, dressings, spice mixes and processed meats.
Bargey
Depending on where you live as well, a lot of things have warning labels on that says "contains gluten" or similar. To quote Dr William Davis "Wheat and gluten is present in foods it has absolutely no business being in". Also, be careful when eating whole foods that have seasoning on. I had some nuts the other day that contained wheat on the coating. And also things like sausages etc

Delaine Ross
If you follow the Whole30 template of no grains, dairy, legumes, sugar, or alcohol you are safe. Meat, veggies, fruits and nuts are all GF.
