NoBeans
Hello there! I'm on day 3...it's been interesting. I'm sticking with it though! I have a box of Melaleuca (all natural products) herbal teas. Most of the ingredients in the different flavors appear to be compliant, but one of the flavors, Herbal Evening, contains hops. From what I've been able to find on google, hops are a flower, not a grain... but I'd like an official ruling. The following are the flavors and their ingredients - I'd appreciate a red flag if anyone sees anything I shouldn't be consuming during my Whole30: Melaleuca Herbal: Chamomile flower, cinnamon bark, melaleuca leaf, natural flavor. Tangy Lemon: Chicory root, lemongrass, rosehip, lemon peel, licorice root, hibiscus flower, melaleuca leaf, natural flavors. Ginseng: Chicory root, lemongrass, peppermint leaf, licorice root, ginseng root, melaleuca leaf, natural flavors. Apple Berry: Chicory root, blackberry leaf, rosehip, lemongrass, hibiscus flower, cinnamon bark, ginger root, nutmeg, melaleuca leaf, natural flavors. Herbal Evening: Chamomile flower, spearmint leaf, HOPS, ginger root, passionflower, hibiscus flower, natural flavors, melaleuca leaf. I found a tea-related thread in which one of the mods said that he wouldn't worry about natural flavors in tea... yes? no?
