monkeypuzzled
Hi, wondering if I can take an acacia fiber supplement I've taken in the past for my IBS--contains only acacia. I'm thinking that the paleo take on fiber is that it should come from whole foods? But I'm feeling a bit miserable gut-wise and I think this might help. (For details, you could see my poop topic in the troubleshooting thread. Doesn't that sound like fun?) Yes, I am eating lots of sweet potatoes. Thanks! Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 8, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2014 You can take acacia fiber, but you are getting plenty of fiber eating a variety of vegetables.
monkeypuzzled
So many of them are high in insoluble fiber though, and that really irritates my gut. I'm dialing up the starchy veggies right now and hopefully that well help, but I'm thinking I may need an additional dose of soluble fiber to get through this stage.
