Rafik Hodeib
Just bought a crockpot and have no idea how to use it. Any help for some simple recipes that are whole 30 compliant would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

Carolina Blue
I bought Cooks Illustrated Slow Cooker Revolution and it has been terrific. You'll need to make some simple substitutions to make most of the recipes Whole 30 compliant (i.e.: use tapioca or arrowroot as a thickener instead of flour). Everything I've made so far has been delicious!
jhmomi
One of the most practical things I use mine for is making chicken. On Friday I put a few lbs of bone-in split chicken breasts with skin in mine. Just added water so I would have unseasoned chicken as a starter for future meals. Cooked several hours until done, then got the meat off the bones and threw the bones back in the pot, added more water and let it cook the rest of the day. Then let it cool, put crockpot in fridge and skim off the hardened fat from the broth the next day. Now I have a few quarts of broth to store in my freezer and I didn't pay $4/quart for Whole30 approved broth at the store. Plus some very juicy chicken. Snicci
I have a few recipes on my blog: http://mypathtopaleo.blogspot.com/search/label/crockpot?m=0 My fave is put some veggies in and put a whole chicken on top (I season mine). No water needed. Cook on low for about 6 hrs (until meat falls off bone).
