Was asked to bring a dessert to a Mother's Day lunch

Recommended Posts

I know desserts aren't in the spirit of the Whole30, but I was asked to bring a dessert for a Mother's Day lunch. Normally I make cranberry orange cookies, but I was wondering if there is anything besides fruit I can bring or make that I can eat as well? (Since it may actually be the only part of the meal I could eat)

How about gambas? Sautee minced garlic and diced bell pepper in olive oil until tender crisp, add shrimp and cook for a few more minutes, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Easy peasy.

Thanks. I have to bring two appetizers to two different functions. I think for one I'm going to make these pulled pork sliders on cucumber slices: http://paleopot.com/2013/01/paleo-smoky-pulled-pork/

And for the other I'm going to do a cucumber roll ups with salmon & cream cheese, with guacamole on some instead of cheese for me.

(Cucumbers and smoked salmon happen to be on sale right now and I found a nice hunk of pork in my freezer lol)

Thanks for the quick replies!
