I'm new to whole30

looking for great tips before I start. I have a family of five. Young children so I'm nervous about picking a date of when to start. I'm really excited to try this though. For those of you with small children do you have any advice on how to make the transtion as smooth as possible?

When our family made the switch over to Paleo, my boys were 5, 7, and 11.  So maybe a little older than yours.  We loved the book Eat Like a Dinosaur.  It has a lot of "special"-type recipes that involve sweeteners and therefore, would not be Whole 30-compliant.  But LOTS of other great recipes in there, too.  There is a short story at the beginning that explains it in pretty simple terms:  "We didn't feel good.  We sat on the couch and watched TV a lot.  Now we feel better!"  Okay, not that simple, but -- it worked for my kids.  ;)  They wanted to make every recipe in the book immediately, and we haven't looked back since.  That has been almost 2 years ago.
