mrsmonkey409
My husband and I are having brunch with my in-laws tomm morning, and I already feel the panic setting in about what we're going to eat. We're going to a traditional Jewish deli, and I know they'll have smoked lox/nova and kipper salmon there. We were thinking maybe some eggs and some of this fish.... I know we can't have the bacon/sausage/pork roll there, because it won't be sugar-free. Any suggestions to help ease my fears? I don't know if I can bring my own food to a restaurant... Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 10, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 10, 2012 Eat some before you go so you won't be hungry. Then I would eat eggs and fish. You might also ask about pickles. Lots of pickles are cured with sugar, but you might ask. Good ones like Bubbies don't seem to use sugar or high fructose corn syrup like cheaper varieties. Personally, I'm on a boiled egg and pickles for breakfast kick lately.
mrsmonkey409
They actually have a whole pickle bar there!! But I'll be sure to ask whether they use sugar to cure them.
