mburgner Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 When reading nutrution lables on food if "sugar" is listed as an ingredient that means it has been "added" to the product. If sugar is not listed as an ingredient, but shows up in the chart (sugar 1gram), does that mean it wasn't added, but there is natural sugars in the product? missmary Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 correct. Nutrition facts list all sugars, including those coming from nature. Ingredients lists tell you if sugar is added. (watch for all the sneaky names manufacturer's use for sugar though http://whole30.com/downloads/whole30-sugar.pdf any of those mean it is non-compliant.)
