Whole30 Certified Coach littleg Posted September 21, 2014 Whole30 Certified Coach Share Posted September 21, 2014 I posted on a here a while ago about fueling for a Spartan Beast (16 miles, obstacles, 8000+ ft elevation gain). I ended up not doing the race because I had to work BUT I did do one of its little brother races... a Spartan Super which was 8.5 miles and maybe 3000ish elevation gain. I ended up carrying dates that I rolled in pink Himalayan salt. In these races my biggest issue is often cramping b/c of electrolyte loss. It turned out to be hotter than forecasted for the race and even though the dates were SALTY and perhaps not the tastiest things I've ever eaten, I finished the race feeling strong and cramp free. Came in 14th out of 212 in my age group
