JClvsu
Day 21 of our first Whole30! My husband is getting his cavities done on both sides of his mouth, and we will probably get home by dinner time. I'm making butternut squash soup for him. I'm not sure if he is required to eat protein too...? I just don't want him to chew with his sore & numb mouth..
Sleeve
Yea, his tongue and cheeks don't count as proteins. What about finely shredded or ground meat in the soup? Soft scrambled eggs on the side, cooked low and slow with tiny curds?
NinjaSarah
I just had a similar dentist appointment. I made myself an egg casserole (Mark's Daily Apple chicken curry clafoutis) ahead of time. I don't think I had to modify it beyond using coconut milk, which is one of his suggestions for the "cream" portion. I shredded the chicken before adding it. Flavorful, filling, easy to make ahead of time if you can and quick if you can't. Also roasted squash, microwave "roasted" sweet potatoes (fast) and scrambled eggs. I just ate as I could, pretty much through the evening. I don't know how your husband reacts, but the numbing stuff and vibrations make me nauseous so continually "sipping" on these soft foods helped the fuzzy head and nausea. And all require minimum chewing
