I started the Whole 30 in September to find out what might be causeing hot flashes.  Little did I realize that I was going to discover that grains has been causing me to have low energy for most of my life!  I was in total shock!  Waiting for the crash to come back but still feeling better than ever and have the energy that I've always longed for.  I love grains but through the Whole 30 diet realize that they are my worst enemy. 

I'm still following the diet and would love to join in

I had the same revelation with my first reintroduction of gluten! I've found most of the grains make me feel unwell, rice is the least reactive, but I feel better not eating it. These ones are the worst for me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prolamin
