whit
I haven't tried digestive enzymes, but I will definitely look into it. I am sad to say that I gave in to some dairy with the hopes that it would make things happen. So I'm going to start over at day 1 and add in the digestive enzymes. Thanks for the suggestion! Beets
When I've gone from eating no veggies to a lot I always have digestive slow down. The digestive enzymes have definitely helped. People always recommend "fiber fiber fiber" but if things are stalled digestively then adding more bulk (insoluble fiber) on top of that is just going to make you more uncomfortable. That does't mean don't eat veggies but you might want to lay off the really fibrous stuff till you can get things moving. And OP you might want to lay off the fiber pill. Here Chris Kesser recommends veggies that are lower in insoluble fiber when you have digestive issues: Carrots Winter squashSummer squash (especially peeled)Starchy tubers (yams, sweet potatoes, potatoes)TurnipsRutabagasParsnipsBeetsPlantainsTaroYuca I've been there and I know your pain! There is a way around it. I'm not sure eating dairy will help but I hope you find relief. Link to comment
baltomom86
One other thought... watch sodium intake. I know that it definitely makes a difference with me. I experience way more bloating at night if I eat any canned food or add too much salt. Also I have been drinking lemon ginger tea and that definitely helps with bloating. Link to comment
