Brighty
I am a week into the whole30 and have been doing paleo for 2 months prior. This weekend I attended multiple BBQs and planned out my every move to stay on program. I ate before going, brought food, didn't drink. My big mistake- grabbing a piece of watermelon that was soaked in RUM. I had no idea until it was in my mouth. How badly did I mess up? I know the choice is mine but i'd like to understand from a results stand point, what I am facing?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted May 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted May 26, 2015 Check out this article on alcohol, they go into some detail about the effects of alcohol on hormones and gut health. http://whole9life.com/2012/09/the-alcohol-manifesto/
Carrots&Blueberries
ugh - just wanted to give my sympathy (on two counts: 1) as a child I loved the desserts that relatives brought except when they soaked in RUM! argh - way to ruin a good cake, or - especially - a slice of beautiful melon! and 2) what a bummer that you've done everything you could do and then ended up with a mouthful of alcohol anyway). If you do re-start, there are a bunch of us starting today and a nice thread already going.
Brighty
Thank you. I am going to keep on trucking along and stay "whole" as long as I can- hopefully beyond just 30. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't meeting up results- from a scientific pov.
