Gum or Mints

When I looked into it, people said chewing on mint leaves would be fine, but no gum or mints since they all will have sweeteners in them. What I've found helps is to keep a pack of mint flossers at my desk, and I just use one after lunch and it's almost as good as having a Listerine strip (which is what I used to do). :)

The problem with gum and mints is not just added sweeteners. Chewing gum fakes your body out and sets you up to have the wrong things happen hormonally. You might not chew mints, but sucking on them over time is another fake out for your body.

Chewing a few mint leaves is not a problem, but you should not chew them all day.
