Caseymc Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 Heads up folks - my former go to breakfast favorite is no longer Whole30 compliant! I purchased several packages last month, and the Wellshire Farms Pork Loin Irish Style bacon did not contain sugar (at least none was listed in the ingredients). When I went to Whole Foods last week, there were five packages left, and I threw them all into my cart (Whole Foods is 45 miles away from my home). On a whim, I decided to check the ingredients since the packaging had changed somewhat and, sure enough, they have started adding sugar to that product. The clerk at the meat counter said that he had had several people comment about the same thing. The Paleo bacon is still compliant, I was told, but they were sold out. I send an email to the company, but have not received a response. Lesson learned, always double check your labels. I'm just glad I did and didn't shell out over $30 for bacon I can't eat.
