JenX
I made a very tasty coleslaw the other day and thought I'd share. Due to laziness I bought a bag of shredded cabbage and a bag of broccoli slaw from Trader Joe's, didn't feel like cutting it all up by hand this time. 1/2 bag cabbage, 1/2 bag broccoli slaw 1 granny smith apple Mayo ACV Salt Pepper dash of cayenne hot sauce to taste Use a julienne peeler or grate the apple (including the skin), add 3/4ths of it to the slaw mix. The other 1/4 cut up super fine and put in the mayo. Add ACV to taste (I like my dressing sweet and sour), add salt and lots of fresh cracked black pepper plus the cayenne. It was the apple that really did it - amazing! and because of the vinegar in the dressing the apple doesn't brown. I am finishing leftovers today, 4 days later and it still looks fresh as when I made it. Enjoy!
Munkers
My favorite chicken salad recipe contains a little bit of apple along with some curry powder and dry mustard. Might be worth it to try adding some cabbage the next time I make it.
healthycrone
This sound so good! I've been trying to figure out what to serve the tribe tomorrow on family day... this, along with grilled hamburgers (I can just skip the bun) might just be the ticket!
