Judi
So, I want to make Romesco sauce but I can't find red wine vinegar that didn't contain sulfites. Is there a tested substitution?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted July 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2015 Naturally occuring sulfites are okay, it's the ones that are listed in the ingredients that are no good... there are red wine vinegars out there with out added sulfites... not sure what a substitution would be tho if you couldn't find a clean vinegar. Judi
Thanks SugarcubeOD, the red wine vinegars I've found so far list sulfites in the list of ingredients so I guess the search will continue. Of course I want to make this tomorrow nite so maybe I'll try it with apple cider vinegar.
Mitch55
I just bought the brand Eden selected It's aged in wood Raw Naturally fermented... Only ingredients are Red Wine and water diluted to 5% Has the Mother, like Braggs Apple cider vinegar I got it at Natural Grocers, but it's at several online stores as well... I might as well be an Eden salesman, I like everything I have had from them

Mitch55
I'm looking forward to trying it, but I have never bothered to figure out why wine belongs in any meal plan... I like girls that drink beer!!! HAHA
