Bitton Posted August 7, 2015 Share Posted August 7, 2015 So, if I may be permitted a little public self-congratulatory kudos....? - Wednesday: bookclub -- my fabulous gal pals with wine, sangria, baked brie & bread, double fudge brownies... I chose club soda and to only eat the fruit and nuts - Thursday evening: mom's club -- wine and sangria (noting a trend?) and other grain-based goodies.... I chose water and kale chips And how did I feel? A little bummed at the time, but fabulous later that night and the next morning. - Friday evening (tonight) -- housewarming at a fully stocked home (alcohol and great food)... Was begining to think I'd feel the lure and considered not going to see many of my friends... ... Then I got my Day 5 Whole30 check-in email, where the wonderful Whole30 folk reminded me: "But you listen to us right now—you are NOT going out like that..." Damn straight I'm not going out like that! I'm going to rock the remaining 25 days of this committment I made to myself. My friend makes it once a year at a holiday party I go to and I was thinking that it would definitely be "worth it," ha ha. Congrats to you on your success!
