Zyriel
I have noticed that after I eat fish I feel good. Not like bouncy ecstatic, but just really good in my skin. Stable. It's a very physical body feeling and a stable satisfied brain feeling. I've taken to calling it the "fish feeling". Does anyone else get this? Notably, it's oily fish in particular: mackerel and sardines and herring. I suppose it's vitamin related? When I look up these fishes on NutritionData I see a lot of B12 in all of them. In the Sardines and Mackerel there's also a fair amount of Niacin and Riboflavin. Some minerals in all too. Could it be the Niacin causing a small flush? And the B12 making happy and clear brain chemicals?
GFChris
Not sure if one or all vitamins/nutrients are making you feel so great, but FWIW, oily fish are also a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
Zyriel
Well look at that. I didn't know Omega-3 was a happy chemical. That's neat. That might be it too. Thanx!
Honnete365
Yes, I too get the "fishy feeling." For me it is satiating. I'm eating tuna as I type.
loobylifts
I LOVE fish - it is my favourite protein source! Just finished some tuna myself and having mackerel for lunch I get the fishy feeling too, but I think thats just because its so damn tasty
