lauren306
I found a salsa that's made locally. Ingredients are tomatoes, peppers, onions, lime juice, salt, carrots, and garlic. Sugar isn't listed in the ingredients but it says a serving has 1g of sugar. Could the sugar be from tomatoes/carrots? If so, is this salsa compliant? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted December 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2015 As long as sugar is not listed as an ingredient, it's fine. Tomatoes, carrots, lime juice, onions, peppers, and garlic all have naturally occurring sugars, Whole30 doesn't worry about those, only added sweeteners.
