idauria
I made shepherd's pie tonight from Well Fed. I made the Italian version, also used beef instead of lamb. It was so good I want to keep eating it. In fact I think I am going to eat it for breakfast tomorrow!!!! If you don't have the book look for the recipe on her website theclothesmakethegirl.com. So good! Oh and I think I prefer the mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes.

Linven
I made this tonight. It was excellent! I grated sweet potato and made that a middle layer, since I didn't have enough cauliflower. And, I forgot to add the egg whites, which I guess just hold it together? My husband's only comment was about "green stuff"... he is a kill it and grill it kinda guy and doesn't get real excited over "casserole" type dishes, I guess. Still, I loved it! Next time will make sure to have enough cauliflower on hand, and I will still add the sweet potato layer.
