TamaraD.
Hello: i have read the whole30 book and i am eager to start the program, however i was wondering if Dr. Sears Zone bars are allowed in the program? or as a matter of fact any Dr. Sears Zone products? i am also confused about the measurements. for example: how much is the thumbsized fat or oil? how do i estimate the quantities? thanks
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted August 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted August 17, 2016 For the bars, you'd need to read the ingredients to determine if they were okay to have, but in general bars are allowed for emergencies only, not as meal replacements or snacks. Measurements are based on the size of a person's hand because portion sizes are likely to be different for a tiny person and a larger person, even if they have similar activity levels. It's not a strict measurement, just an estimate, it's OK to have a little more some days than others.
TamaraD.
thanks for the hint, you are right, i looked up and the ingredients are not Whole30 compatible. it has soy, whey and milk protein isolates, etc.. So i will skip it. thanks again for responding to my question.
