Do You Figure Potato As A Vegetable on the Template?

I have been trying to eat 1 or two small or new potatoes with my breakfast.  They seem to help me go longer between meals.  But my brain sees them as a starch, not a vegetable.  So, from a template standpoint, I feel they are an accent to my large amount of vegetables plus protein and fat.  Should I just consider them vegetable and let it go?  Old dietary habits die hard.

Starchy veggie such as a potato, sweet potato etc are indeed a vegetable. The recommendation is to start with a fist sized serving per day for most people. You can experiment and see if you feel better with more or less. They are not meant to be your only veggie though so having as an accent as you say is the best way. :)
