SFZag
I was sent this article by the New York times about added sugars in food and while most of it was old news to me after reading about and being on the Whole30 twice now, the one part that surprised me was the part about juice concentrates being sugar. Can someone clarify how "concentrate" weighs in on the Whole30? This was news to me that this was code for added sugar. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/22/upshot/it-isnt-easy-to-figure-out-which-foods-contain-sugar.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share&_r=
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 12, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 12, 2017 Juice concentrates are simply concentrated juice. So yes, they are sweeter than normal juice and they are used to sweeten things like Chicken Apple Sausages. They are permitted on Whole30 as "fruit juice to sweeten" things like dressings or sausage is alright.
