I love balsamic vinegar.  Is a balsamic reduction allowed?  I do not add anything just heat balsamic vinegar until it reduces.  I would think it should be fine but wanted to confirm.

What about reducing a liquid do you feel might be against the rules?

Yes, since it gets sweeter, I thought it might be against the rules.

Ah, okay :)  Balsamic vinegar reduction is fine as long as the vinegar is compliant to start with (no added sulfites).

The sweeter thing doesn't really apply to things like vinegar or bbq sauce since you're not going to then use it to sweeten paleo cupcakes or drink a mug of it to combat a sugar craving :)  Do be careful tho, in your own context, does the reduction and its inherent sweetness cause more cravings?  If so you might want to reconsider the use, but if not, then by all means, enjoy!
