Rich Wolff
Good Afternoon! Yesterday I was day 10 into my first whole30. An old accident flared up and created some extra-ordinary pain. I went to the doctor and the pain led me to start blacking out. The nurse immediately gave me a tablet (i did not know what it was at the time, ends up it was a glucose tablet) which brought me back. For the pain, they gave me a cortizone shot in my ankle and percosets. I took a half day worth of the percs yesterday but am feeling better today so I do not need them. I'm going to continue on to day 30 as if nothing has happened, but what is everyone's thoughts of the pain reduction methods and the glucose tablet during the whole30? Thanks Rich
Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 17, 2012 Moderators Share Posted November 17, 2012 In your situation, the glucose tablet is not an issue. We don't argue with doctors about their treatment methods. And a dose of glucose does not wreck your gut, so you're okay to just keep going.
