Ermatlanta
I was a having a conversation about salmon on FB and I got this comment about farm raised salmon with Omega3. Sounded "fishy" to me (sorry!) but I didn't have a fact based rebuttal. I thought farm raised inherently lacked the O3s present in the wild caught. "...although we always cook the salmon with the skin on, skin side up. We'll sear it then run it under a broiler, so the fat melts and covers the meat. I think that's where you get your omega 3s." kirkor
What O3s there are would be present in the fat, ya, so it's not wrong. Also it's not that farm raised lacks O3s, but it's ratio of O6:O3 isn't as favorable as that of wild-caught.
Ermatlanta
Excellent, thank you for replying kirkor. And O6 at higher levels, not so good, right?
