Jet McPherson
Hi All, I've spoken to a few different Zankou's but wondering of any of you have experience eating here during Whole30. Apparently they use soybean oil for their meats, but their kebabs only use olive oil. Have you heard any different?
Jihanna
Even with chain restaurants, sometimes you'll find some in one area that use a specific set of ingredients whereas some in other areas don't, and this is especially true if it happens to be a franchise-type chain (as opposed to all stores being under the same corporate directives). I'm not sure how the management of Zankou is set up (never heard of them, in fact), but just keep that in mind because whatever might be true at one isn't necessarily what you'll get when you walk into another -- which means it's always best practice to speak directly with the one you plan to visit, so you can see what that specific visit will entail. Good luck.
