PamelaG
Wasn't sure about this because potato starch is listed in the ingredients? A quick search here brought up comments that potato starch was on the approved list but I can't find it. Ingredients: chicken breast, water, potato starch, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, salt, lemon juice, DEXTROSE, dehydrated garlic, spice, dehydrated onion, natural flavor. Yikes, I was so wrapped up in the potato starch that I completed skipped over the dextrose so I'm pretty sure these are a NO. Darn, they looked yummy! Jihanna
You'd be correct -- since dextrose is a sugar, they'd be off-limits during Whole30. Potato starch is just dried potatoes that have been ground down into a starchy flour-like consistency. It's similar to using something like tapioca starch or almond meal; they're compliant ingredients, so as long as the application is also compliant (not pancakes, for example), you're good to go.
