MamaMegs
I know the answer... to remain compliant on the Whole 30, you can't have sweeteners of any kind in your drinks. I am struggling with this way more than I thought I would. I'm on day 10 and it feels like all joy has been sucked out of the world. I need any tips, tricks, or words that will help. I could KILL for a gold peak diet tea right now.
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted February 23, 2023 Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2023 Brew some of your own tea to make ice tea but add a cinnamon stick or two... cinnamon is actually extremely sweet tasting. You could try adding a splash of compatible juice to your home made iced tea also
noideawhatdayitis
The sugar cravings on my first Whole30 nearly killed me. I only have words to offer here - you can do this, and it will TOTALLY be worth it - especially for the long term benefits to your health. For me, I remember noticing the natural, complex sweetness in fruits and vegetables - and really savouring them. My moods and energy levels evened out and became more balanced and consistent. I’m about to finish my fourth (or fifth, can’t really remember) Whole30 and I have not had any sugar cravings this time around. The more I do it, the easier it gets to slay the Sugar Dragon. Hang in there - you’ve got this!
