Can I have potao starch in meat?

Hi, I just started my whole30 and on day 5 now. I am from The Netherlands.

In search for some meat (all have sugar in it apparently) I found a product we call "Slavinken" and it's practically ground meat wrapped in bacon.

The ingredient list is as followed:

For the sausage
Ground pork
Ground beef
Potato starch
Spices (bell pepper powder)
Ascorbic acid
Sodium ascorbate

For the bacon:

Pork meat



Potato starch

Sodium citrate



Not really sure if the potato starch is part of the pancake rule in this case? Just as it would be in pasta.
