Sylvia O
Day 13 for me today (woo!) and today is also my boyfriend's birthday and we're going to Outback for dinner- on the surface, the steaks seem compliant, and I'm thinking either the sweet potato sans butter and brown sugar, or grilled asparagus. But I know the cooking/seasoning method may be an issue, any experienced diners care to chime in? Here's their dinner menu: http://www.outback.com/menu/pdf/C13.pdf
Susan W
I think you will be fine with a steak, sweet potato and asparagus. You only can do the best you can do when you go out. They may use canola oil but that is just the way it is. It isn't banned, just not preferred. It's very common for restaurants to baste their steaks and grilled veggies with butter or even worse, margarine, so I would request the steak and veggies be dry. I sneak a little coconut aminos in my purse to flavor veggies with at such times. Have fun and don't worry too much. You'll be fine. Stay away from that onion monster. Fenderbender
I've never had a problem at Outback.... I order the steak plain and salt pepper myself... Double broccoli steamed and a plain salad...
