missmichelle82_
Hi friends! So usually, outside of Whole30, when I have ripe bananas I'll throw them into a smoothie, make pancakes or muffins out of them, etc. What are some good ideas for Whole30 compliant foods that I can use my ripe bananas for? Thanks in advance michelle
Rachael2288
Peel them and throw them in a ziploc bag in the freezer so you can use them for whatever you want (smoothies, banana bread, pancakes, banana "froyo") after your Whole30 is over! Guest
We dehydrated ours to save for after and stuck them in our freezer that way. They were a lot of fun with almond or cashew butter on them. I think they'd also be great in a salad like other dried fruits.

Guest
Why aren't smoothies allowed on Whole30? Check out this thread for a bit of info: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/8458-green-smoothies-for-my-family/ My take from the book was that the smoothie is not digested the same as food that is chewed and does not satisfy the same as food. The body and mind both see it different that an actual meal.
Zoodles
I second (or third) the freezing! Slice them up and freeze them, I just eat a slice or two every now and then straight out of the freezer, so yummy
