mlle.peanut
I've had plans with girlfriends set for tonight for months now. We are going to a Mexican restaurant (Gloria's). Instead of going crazy about trying to find something compliant on the menu, I am just going to eat before I go. I sliced up some raw zucchini and am going to bring it along to eat as "chips" with salsa, so at least I will feel like i am participating in the fun and not a total spoil sport. I will ask if the salsa has sugar in it. Should I be worried about anything else?? Also, wish me luck!! Going out with folks who are eating delicious food and downing margaritas will be a feat for me.
pjena
Good idea to bring zucchini chips to use with the salsa! Good luck!
CraftyCarnivore
I find Mexican restaurants the easiest to stay on point. I usually get a skirt steak (ask what it's cooked in) and guacamole and ask for the raw taco vegetables on the side and use salsa as the dressing. I have even ordered a bowl of salsa as a soup, back in my Weight Watchers days.
