Pattygurl84
I started whole 30 yesterday, is it normal I am super hungry throughout the day? I have been eating a good breakfast and lunch but in between I am hungry and definitely by dinner time I am starving.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted June 20, 2017 Moderators Share Posted June 20, 2017 It's not really normal, although sometimes it takes some time to get the size of the meals right. Many people are surprised by how much they end up eating on whole30. For instance, if eggs are your only protein in a meal, have as many whole eggs as you can hold in your hand, which is probably 3-4. When the meal template says fill your plate with vegetables, that's a bunch of vegetables. And choose a fat option or two from those listed, in addition to the fat you cook with. Download the meal template here: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/ If you are hungry between meals, truly hungry enough that you'd eat something bland and boring like plain steamed fish and broccoli, it's okay to eat, but have a mini meal with protein, fat, and vegetables, or at least two of the three. Don't just mindlessly sit and eat, or keep going back to grab a handful of nuts or fruit throughout the day.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted June 21, 2017 Moderators Share Posted June 21, 2017 If you are eating according to the Meal Template, you should not be hungry until 4-5 hours after your last meal. Don't skimp on the fat!
