jennym
I have a couple recipes that include small amounts of almonud flour as a coating. My son is allergic to tree nuts so I want to find something to replace it that he can eat. Is cocounut flour a good stand-in? Thanks!
Susan W
Its a little different but yes, it will work. Also tapioca is said to work well.
praxisproject
Read through some recipes using coconut flour, you'll find the amounts are quite different to almond flour, same with the liquid that goes with. Try a few made-for-coconut-flour recipes before you try adapting one. It's expensive stuff to waste if it doesn't turn out right
jennym
Thanks for the responses, great idea to check out other recipes. I ended up baking 2 plain without coating and served it with natural applesauce. Big hit!
