Melany Anderson
I track food on MyFitnessPal and it says I should have 300(g? mg?) of cholesterol a day and I have had up to almost 700 a day!! Heart disease runs in my family so I am a little concerned about this!
SugarfreeLife
Cholesterol in your diet is not related with high cholesterol level in your blood. But excesive consummation of carbohydrates is. I'm not a specialist, but I recommend this article: http://chriskresser.com/the-most-important-thing-you-probably-dont-know-about-cholesterol Have you read It Starts with Food? There is excellent explanation of this topic too.
Meg Hamilton
I agree with Sugarfree, the ISWF book does an excellent job of explaining how cholesterol works in our bodies! Just because you eat a lot of cholesterol, doesn't mean you're at higher risk of heart attack--assuming you're eating Whole30 healthy foods. Have you had bloodwork done recently? The book explains to divide your triglycerides by your HDL to get a ratio. The lower that ratio is, the less chance you have for heart attack/heart disease. SugarfreeLife
karacooks: I'm not native speaker and web vocabulary betrayed me Intake would probably be better word... But, in Czech language, we have term "bÃlý sex" (white sex) for - let's say - intensive relationship with content of one's refridgerator (because here are almost all refridgerators white). karacooks
. But, in Czech language, we have term "bÃlý sex" (white sex) for - let's say - intensive relationship with content of one's refridgerator (because here are almost all refridgerators white).Given some people's relationship with food I tihnk that's pretty appropriate! I think probably the word you were looking for is excessive consumption of carbs.
