nikki_chase
does the order matter? may i follow the days 1,4,7,10 but move the food group order around?
nikki_chase
also wondering about some of the reintro food choices... does it matter if certain foods are 'contaminated' with other things? ie: ice cream for dairy, but it has tons of sugar. cupcake for gluten, but it has dairy and sugar. etc.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 27, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2013 The order that you introduce is totally up to you. The schedule offered is just an example. It may make a meaningful difference for you to introduce a food with multiple, off-plan ingredients. It depends on your sensitivity to the various elements. So it is a good idea to introduce one thing at a time as best you can.
GFChris
The order doesn't matter. Here are the sample reintro choices in It Starts with Food: - dairy: yogurt, cheese, ice cream - gluten: whole-wheat bagel, side of pasta, dinner roll - non-gluten: white rice, corn tortilla chips, slice of gluten-free bread - legumes: peanut butter, lentil.soup, tofu, side of black beans
nikki_chase
thank you both! also, considering introducing/testing soy seperately. good idea? unnecessary? if so, some suggested items?
GFChris
If you're going to test soy (that's another point: only test foods you're curious about or think you might want to eat again in the future), sure, test it separately, and here are some options: tofu, soy sauce, soy milk, edamame. For me, given my improved hormonal changes on my Whole30, I decided to not reintro soy and have permamently removed it from my diet.
