tgipaleo
Hey all, I have a couple of prescription medications I've been on for about a year and I've been told by some that they might be irritating my gut and/or ,easing with my system. I'm on a Whole30 now, but I'm worried the meds might negate the purpose. I also had to take some NyQuil the other day to ease a nasty cold and get some sleep. Is taking medication, prescription or OTC, going to sabotage by Whole30? Thanks much!!
Susan W
Doc orders over ride a W30. That discussion needs to be between the two of you. Nyquill..yuck. High sugar and alcohol. I would add whatever time you were when you took it to the end of your W30 for at least the sugar and alcohol reintro so you have a solid 30 days without either. Tammy H.
Any thoughts about OTC drugs? Ie - Claritin for environmental allergy flare-ups? Not taking them regularly, but allergies are a bit unbearable today. Sinus migrane. Yet I don't want to work against cleansing the system! Thoughts? Robin Strathdee
Any legit medication that is necessary gets a Whole30 pass. Now, that doesn't mean sweet cough drops and supplements full of non-compliant ingredients are ok. It just means that if your quality of life is is suffering because of those allergies, you can take a claritin
