angshaner
Just found out I'm intolerant/allergic to Soy, Sugar, Dairy & Wheat. So, looks like Whole30 is meant for me. I will be going out to dinner with family in a couple days. Wondering if anybody knows what is compliant at Samurai 21 Japanese restaurant. I'm guessing they put soy sauce on everything!! GFChris
Can you just get sashimi (raw fish only, no rice or soy sauce)? You might check into their seaweed or other salad, if you can get it without soy sauce or other nasties.
Susan W
Just order sashimi dinner with no rice and sneak in an empty spice jar that you put coconut aminos in. For an app, have a salad with no dressing. That is what your second spice jar is for. You can make a fun Asian dressing with lemon juice, rice wine vinegar, garlic, ginger, olive oil and a touch of sesame oil. Japanese restaurants have kibache steaks and shrimp as well, but they are almost always marinated with soy and sugar. Maybe you could ask for unmarinated protein? Susan W
Also..skip the wasabi. It often contains starch of some kind.
