namtrag
From what I am seeing, I believe the plan is to eat 3 meals spaced out to be 5 hours apart, and to avoid snacking in between, if possible. I am only on Day 3, and am running into a problem. I am not sure how to do this in my situation. I get up at 5 am, and eat at 6 am. Because of my wife's long hours and long commute, she doesn't get home until close to 7pm(she is doing the Whole30 with me). As you can see, the 5 hour thing doesn't work: 6am, 11am and 4pm should be the approximate meal times. In our case, for example, today I ate at 6 am, 11:30 am, and unless I eat a snack, I will eat again at 7-7:30pm. What is worse, going 7 1/2 to 8 hours without eating, or eating a couple of boiled eggs and a handful of cashews at 3:30pm? Just curious how others handle this. Thanks everyone! GFChris
With a 7-8 hour span between meal 2 and meal 3, it's fine to have a mini-meal in between when you get hungry. Boiled eggs and cashews work: anything that contains a protein and fat is a good choice.
namtrag
Thanks, Chris!...my other choice of eating my own supper at 5ish, and having my wife eat when she gets home would not have gone over well, nor should it! lol
