Janis Boatright-Werner
Hey everyone, I am in the process of cleaning out my kitchen today as i start my whole 30 tomorrow. I have several mini cans of low sodium v8 that I hate to throw out. I realize we are supposed to eat our veggies but is v8 ok in case of emergency? The ingredients are as follows: water and concentrated juices of tomatoes, carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress, & spinach. It also says it contains less than 2 % of salt, vitamin c (absorbic acid), natural flavoring, and citric acid.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 31, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2012 Melissa Hartwig gave her okay to V8 at http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/1092-couple-of-items-pickles-v8/page__hl__juice. I gave it a thumbs down and explain my reasons just after Melissa's post. Take your pick.
Robin Strathdee
Janis - If you don't want to drink them, you can always cook with them. They'll add some nice spice to a crockpot recipe!
Janis Boatright-Werner
Tom, thanks for the link! I will try to stay away from the V8 unless it's an emergency situation. I have a toddler so sometimes life gets crazy. lol Robin, thanks for the great idea to use v8 in recipes!
