joybedford
Hi my name is Joy I am in day 2 of whole 30 I did one in January but then kind of lost the plot so I am here again. My GP has prescribed lanzoprazole for a long term digestive disorder unfortunately it contains maize starch and sodium laurel sulphate. I haven't taken one yet and I am not sure what to do. I know whole 30 will eventually clear up my digestive problems but he wants me to take this at the moment. I also have an appointment for an endoscopy during my whole 30 and will need to be sedated will this totally ruin the whole 30.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 9, 2014 The meds and sedation will change your experience of the Whole30 somewhat, but not ruin it.

jennor
Lansoprazole is not usually something you have to take, meaning you will not die if you don't take them you will just not feel as good. If your GP prescribed them I think you should take them for now. When you feel better you can try a few days without. Going Whole30 is a big transition for your GI tract and it might be hard initially. When you have adpted to a higher fat, protein and fiber diet you might not need the lansoprazole anymore.
