Anmfalco
I am new to the whole30 program and will start tomorrow, July 21. I've spent the day grocery shopping with my list for my planned meals for the week. One of my recipes calls for breadcrumbs and I was wondering what a good substitute would be. It's for breading green beans and I'm not a good cook at all so I'm not familiar with a lot of things to use. Any suggestions would be very welcomed. I'm excited about this new journey to better my life and I want to start with a good first week. Thanks!
Paleomedic
What about almond meal or ground almonds? I've used almond meal on pan fried fish to give it a bit of a crispy texture. Or just leave the breading off? Not knowing the rest of the recipe, could that be an option?
CaGirl
I vote leave the breading off the green beans too
Britishgal
I'd just cook the green beans...but then I've never heard of breaking vegetables...
b.c.
I've used almond meal successfully for breadcrumbs. You can mix them with a bit of tapioca starch to get a similar consistency, I'd think - maybe 1 tsp tapioca starch to 1/2 cup of almond meal? Or just leave them off, like others suggested Let us know how it goes!
