leahcarn
So sulfites aren't allowed on the Whole30, but I didn't see a reintroduction category for them either. Any suggestions on how to re-introduce? Are they bad for people with a sensitivity, or pretty much everyone?
JO.H
I share your question, and would value some advice please. I am convinced sulphites are part of the problem, and would like to avoid them for good, though they do occur in a lot of stuff!
leahcarn
Mods, any thoughts on this?
Physibeth
The rules eliminate carrageenan, MSG, and sulfites because these are indicators of highly processed foods and because they almost universally cause gut irritation. They are not part of the reintroduction protocol because really they are best left out for good I believe. Personally I have not had much trouble avoiding sulfites so I'm not sure which good foods you are referring to. Ultimately what you do post Whole30 is entirely up to you. If after you have reintroduced the major things you want to test you want to try a food with sulfites in it you may do that. At this point you are riding your own bike and being you n=1 experiment. leahcarn
Thanks for that. Universal gut irritation sounds like just what I'm trying to avoid. Out they stay
